Well my friends it has been a few months now and I would like to keep you up to date with my progress.
Stage 1 The anal colposcopy was not as bad as I had feared. There was no camera crew, just a small camera wire. But it was revealed that next to the opening of my rectum, they found a tumour. Many tests and a few MRI and cat scans were to follow, with many doctors fingers going up my bum. You know my Quote about that. but it had to be done
I was told of the procedure of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy was to follow, and it would end in an operation to give me a stoma bag.
Stage 2 I was to start the treatment with five days of Radiotherapy treatment and everything went great, I never felt anything nor had any side effects (well, that was to change)...after a few weeks to the chemicals do their thing, I was on to stage 3 and the chemotherapy.
Stage 3 Chemotherapy The treatment of an infuse and tablet form is going great and all seem more positive.
More to follow.
I am going to write a blog page and go into the treatment and progress in more detail. The link will follow when I get around to it.

The operation was a complete success and after a stay of six days, I was allowed home.
Now the long road to recovery begins. Six to eight weeks before I hope to be anything near I was before the Op and a lot longer before I am totally fit

The piece of intestine that was cut out of me was taken away and tested for further problems. The great news is, they found no other problems in the bit and that is a blessing. Now is time for me to recover and get back to full health. I can live with the stoma bag and I am already used to it. Cleaning and changing it myself. This is my future and seriously folks, I am okay with it. I am still in a lot of pain, but hopefully, this will start to be less, very soon. Another good news is my will to write music again and there is news of new projects.... The Drowning Man thread. Also, my work writing lyrics for other musicians and bands Lyricist

It has been a few weeks now after my operation and I am slowly getting back to a bit of a normal life.
Although I do not use any heavy medication anymore, I am still weak and must learn to control myself from doing heavy work etc...still a bit to go, but I am getting there, my friends.

It has been a year since my operation, and I feel it is time for an update.
Everything is going great. Yes, I have a stoma for life, but I am still here, and I am not planning to leave you all for a while yet.
Although the doctors found a polyp in my intestines during the endoscopy, it was later revealed it was nothing to concern me; it was nothing terrible.
My blood was perfect, and they said all my organs looked good...
So great news, my friends; now let's get back to the music

A year on, I had another setback.
My stoma has had a break (or hernia, as they called it). It means the darm is pushing through my stomach wall, and it makes a small bulge on the side of my stomach. I may have to have another operation, but the hospital is not jumping to perform this, as it is risky and it is not certain of success. Plus, I am in no pain, and everything is working okay.
So, I am now walking about with a brace to keep it in place, and if I am honest, it isn't all that uncomfortable. One advantage to the brace is I sit up straight in the chair now...LOL...
My friends, I remain positive, as I am still here, and I am, apart from this, healthy.
I will keep you all up to date with how this progresses. Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers
Peace Zeek
